    Good post Dravidia. I agree. Control is a very hard word to define. But then again I think that I watched the Matrix Reloaded too many times and now my concept of control is distorted. But anyways.

    Lust for power, strength, and possessions were a main motive throughout the Silmarillion. But I suppose that lust, desire, and greed can all be summed together loosely. It is the simple acting of wanting to have control that makes people commit teacherous acts. So perhaps the question really is about control. That opens up whole new worlds of thought for me.
