I am looking for some good information on Early Germanic architecture, weapons, anything on how they looked, ate everything to create a detailed world for them around the age of the fall of the Roman Empire.

If this is not possible, how close are the Vikings to ancient Germania? I can find quite a bit of information there so I was curious how similar the two cultures were.
