    Cairetw,

I would like to continue the quite interesting, I believe, messages concerning minor Gods-Goddess, Daemons and Heroes. For now I will post a short message concerning an elusive number of local Laconia’s Gods named Alkides Theoi (AlkideV Qeoi).

Alkides Theoi were the divine ancestors of Herculeidon (Hrakleidwn), the ancestors of the Laconic generation and relatives of the Spartan Kings. The Spartans celebrated in honor of Their name in Alkideia (Alkideia) with sacrifices, asking Them to bestowed alkh in the city, meaning power and happiness.

    Yours,

    Nikolaos Cleomenes
