Since I can't add threads (yet):
* Folklore and Mythology.
Description: The Native Americans of the Northern continent have a rich legacy of folklore and myth. Here, we can explore these tales, to examine their world view, and the meaning behind such stories. Such tales may encompass creation, the coming of corn (or other grains), and many more.
* Lifeways.
Description: Day to day culture. Clothing, utensils, housing, and other artifacts of various North Native American cultures were created to perform tasks efficiently, yet were often created with a certain grace and skill. How these people lived their everyday lives, in the context of what was available to them, and the tools they created to fulfill daily tasks may be discussed here.
* The Plains Indians.
Description: Here we can discuss the major and minor tribes we today think of as the Plains Indians: including the Arikara, the Hidatsa, the Mandan, the Arapaho, the Lakota, the Dakota, the Omaha, the Crow, the Cheyenne, the Blackfoot, and more.
* The Southwest Culture.
Description: Here we can discuss the major and minor tribes which include the Navaho, the Apache, and those of the Pueblo Indian grouping (the Hopi, the Zuni). The intriguing and vanished Anasazi may also be discussed here.
(I'll get you more topics soon, but this should start.)
