Will read after, then may change my opinion.
Prior to the study and practice of black magic, the individual may have been a very pure bright soul. To please the mother, the young one ignorantly contaminated himself. The mother was worse than him, for she used him to do her dirty work.
One does not have to study the black arts to misuse the power of the light. One has to be very ignorrant. It is worse to do this after becoming enlighted. There is a certain grace for the unenlighted. If his magic worked he was redirecting the light for evil purpose or gain. The black magicians can get away with alot for a long time. The white magician gets zapped almost imediately and can never get away with anything. This is because they are dedicated to serving the light.
I am speaking as if everyone is one or the other, and of course that is not always the case. I do think that there is a lot of unintention magic going on, because many people do have magical ability that they are completly unaware of. Then there are those who think they are, but they are not.
The proof of the pudding is not in fables or storys, it can only be learned from what you have actually experienced and found to be true.
I look forward to reading the story, but first must get ready, and go to work.
