Eduen the “brothers of same the same blood than Roman”
In the II century BC the Eduens were one of the most powerful tribes of Gaulle. Their territory centered on the Morvan (in the Massif Central) was in a strategically position in the Celtic’s territories. They controlled the North-South axe formed by the Rhône-Saône and Loire. It’s why Romans want ti make them their allies. The territory was divided in seven pagi with Bibracte on the center. The other cities was on the circulation axes : Mastico (Mâcon), Cabillonum (Chalon sur Saône), Decitia (Decize) and Noviodunum (Nevers).
