The duality of black and white magic exists from creating good or evil. White magic is to use spiritual power for what ever is positive and constructive. Black magic is used to cause deliberate and intentional harm to others. The black magician always pays a price for doing this. They try to avoid it by various means, in the end the law [divine law] gets them.

Magic is also an understanding of the spiritual laws of the universe. Not just anyone can master the art. It requires dedication and talent. Leonardo d' Vinci was a white magician. Geordano Brunno was one of the last great magicians to practice openly. I am referring to real magic, not the art of prestidigitation as is demonstrated by the likes of Harry Hoodini.

When we pray, deeply and sincerely for the good of others, this is a form of white magic. When we send out malice toward others, in thought word or deed, this is a form of black magic.

Highly evolved spiritual people are magical. Very negative people who get into magic either switch over to the positive, or self distruct.

Those who belive in the power of prayer are practicing magic. Those with very stong feelings, emotions can affect others about them for good or ill.

White magicians do every thing in their power to try to avoid harming others. This is a form of self protection. They walk in the light, they radiate light.

In the past there were so many witch hunts because people accepted these ideas of magic. When things went wrong it was easy to put the blame on some one you did not like. These beliefs were then suppresed as superstition.

For a black magician to do real harm, the door has to be left open by the recipient. The only real protection is to live in the light.
