I'd always thought that I had been shown
The way to live when I was grown
Yet life seems to be nothing but facing the unknown
And learning to face fear with a smile.
I've choices; I could choose to mourn
My death began when I was born;
But I prefer to think of life as careworn, not torn
For this life's stay will last but a precious while.
