More newcomers were entering, at least one did not seem pleased at what she saw. Cuthbert will soon have his hands full. There was the normal hustle and bustle taking care of the patrons of the Boar. And now, there was also the additional work of the feast after the sacrifice. Amalasuntha found herself pulled in more directions than ever.
To add insult to injury, now there were the missing coins. "What else was missing?", she mused, "And who and where was the thief." She cast a wary eye over the common room. A shiver ran down her spine as she realized that there was at least one among them who she could no longer trust.
Passing Otar on the way to his room, she stopped and took a chance that he was someone she could trust. She briefly whispered just the highlights of the recent events and asked if he'd seen or heard anything, the worry lines on her face deepening.
