Hey. Sorry guys, I got them all right again :-)
The Seb-Hed Festival
Welcome to the Step Pyramid of Saqqara , for King Djoser's Heb-Sed festival. Off to the right you will notice that a special courtyard has been constructed. Djoser is still in his new robe room, changing into his Sed robe .
Some say a King's first Sed festival is held to mark his fifth year of reign , then every ten years thereafter. Others say that a King has to reign for thirty years before his first Sed festival is held. Either way, this is a very rare event indeed. It will revitalize Djoser's absolute power , renew his holy energy , and assure him a long reign in the afterlife .
Look... There is the King ! He is making offerings to Seshat-Hor, who fed Horus her milk of immortality. Now he carries his ritual items, the imyt-per ,and runs all the way around the pavilions with them. Thus, he has proven his rights to Egypt, before receiving the double crown . As if that isn't exciting enough, to solidify his supreme power , he shoots four arrows north, south, east and west, before settling down to a feast fit for a King .
