The Empires of the East are vast. Kings rise, and kings fall. Only one thing matters... being on the winning side. Will it be mighty Babylon? the powerful Medes? the ferocious Persians? or will it be the vast Scythian horde sweeping down from the steppes? Come, pick a side... then win... or die... ...

Theodoros Mnesicles had arrived with his second group of ships just in time to Shepard the scattered fleet hit by the storm. It had taken days to sort out the mess & gather the stragglers. Several of the smaller ships had been lost along with their crews and soldiers. Tragic as it was it was of no great consequence to the forces mustered. The triremes and triemiolas had weathered the storm well, only a few of the smaller ships were destroyed.

Theodoros marveled at the might of his own forces. The fleet now numbered near 200 ships of excellent Greek design. They were the most powerful and advanced ships to be found in the entire world. His soldiers were also well-trained and disciplined veterans drawn from all over Greece. Now with such a force at his command he had thoughts of putting it to use for his own ends, but it was not to be. Theodoros had given his word and honor demanded that he meet his obligation before seeking his own fortune. Still he knew there was not an enemy who could counter the fleet or the powerful hoplites he command. However, as destiny had it he was to be but a sub commander and advisor to another.

Theodoros busied the troops now with the building of great siege engines and close-order drill as he awaited the arrival of his designated commander. One Quinn Etana, a pirate admiral or rebel general he had heard. Stores of treasures were also to be delivered to him.

The wait would soon be over as Quinn’s fleet was insight and would be landing within the hour.
