This type of poisonous Nile fish was represented in many tomb reliefs. It had a special ability and was venerated at Elephantine. Its name was a heiroglyphic determinative that was also used phonetically as a verb, because of the sound of the fish's name. Can you supply the determinative for this type of fish, its modern Egyptian name, its special ability, and what the name could have meant when used as a verb?
