Clare, John D.
64 pages
Gulliver Books
1992,1991 Random Century Publishing Group Limited
ISBN 0-15-200509
Summary: "Describes daily life in ancient Egypt during the time of the Pharaoh Chephren, including clothing, makeup, home life, religious practices, burial rituals, and the construction and role of the pyramids."
*This book is great for children of all ages. It is richly illustrated with realistic reenactment imagry (very lifelike photo essays) on each page. Daily life, from farmers and doctors to pyramid builders and Pharaohs is covered.
It is a good read for kids from about age 9 and up.
Includes a timeline from 4,000 BC to 0. Great pictures (can't say that enough) but definitely for a younger audience. A good way to pique the kids' interest in ancient Egyptian daily life.
