The King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Ptolemy IX, steps out onto the dock. Upon his head is the blue khepresh war crown. The headband of a medjay covers his forehead. A lion's tail falls from the back of his kilt.
He stands motionless, observing the scene, then raises his hands out to the water, before slowly turning both palms in, toward himself.
"Behold the beast, he who riseth from the waves with vile vengeance on his breath!
Your treason shall not taint us, your disloyalty not debase us.
Turn ye back, turn ye back. Turn ye back, before thy death is made.
For behold... the Golden One!
His rope unravels, his harpoon is raised, and on this day of contention, ye shall surely die!"
