Sorry I've been silent for so long. Here are my two cents on the rules:

1. I agree with Mark that the 10% disobedience chance makes no real sense here: the husband in this case exists only for the female character's convenience. If you want an independent man, play one.

2. Either the religious rules are a bit complex or reading red on black is giving me a headache. But what I've read seems fine.

3. Has anyone considered the possibility of announcing candidacies in April and holding elections in Quintilis like the Romans did? Would it make things more interesting or not?
