Has Widimir ever heard of a tale of frog legs and the princess daughter
of
Thiudareiks? He scrunched his face as he thought over this for a few
minutes. He did remember once there was a folk song that was going
around
the village people for a while.
I do remember something of a little song we use to sing when on the
march
at night in camp. It went something like this:
Widimir let out a little chuckle as he saw Amalasuntha's face turn red
and
everyone look over at her.

Sing a song of rye bread
Fresh she made it with her hands
Served up warm before we bed
She moved from clan to clan
Hopped from man to man collected
Treasure for her father they says
How could the princess do it?
Well I guess she had frog legs!
When great Theoderic heard
That which she had done
So much he was enraged,
That she gathered her gold and was gone
