Thank you so much Liz for those two posts on Donatello's representations of David (and looking forward to part 3 *g*)

Excellent point made regarding the missing stone: ok, so Goliath's helmet hangs down in such a way that it covers the area of impact, but it's still strange that Donatello would choose not to represent the stone in any way, even indirectly through the sling....
