My kudos to yon coders of the new Acta. It's very smooth, slick and fast loading. I especially love the wider format. When I designed the last version it was .. 2004 I believe? Since then our screen resolutions have gone through the roof and the old Acta sure was not keeping up with the times! Also I appreciate that it looks like each world editor had the option of what to put in their 'featured area'. Each chose a different selection so making the full ACTA more diverse feeling.
A special "WELL DONE!" to Feiyan Zhou for this month's Orient page. I never knew we had so many locations for Asian art strewn around the site, what a clever idea to gather them together!
Lastly, (not a criticism, only an observation). Just, it's much flatter and simpler than the old version. And consistent. Now I realize, I tend to go overboard with imagery anyway, so it's probably just a matter of me getting used to it. Well, takes up less bandwidth I'm sure and is much faster loading due to less intense large images.
Well done all!
