I understand how upset you must have felt, William, so I thought I'd cheer you up by mentioning that there is another side to this discussion that should not be overlooked.
Though there is no evidence for a real Egyptian princess named Scota, she is part of Irish mythology. She is the mother of the Sons of Mil in the fabulous Irish mythological invasion tale kept alive in poetic oral tradition and then preserved in writing by early Irish monks (many of whom were from the poet class).

While I have great respect for the scholars of Celtic Studies and their passion for the truth, I also have a great love of the ancient Celtic tales. Those old poets sure knew how to spin great yarn. *S*
