We are happy to have you join us in "the land between the two rivers".
Your Mesopotamia scribes are here to help if you have any questions. In the meantime:
Features about AncientWorlds that you should know:
-
If you have a pop-up blocker enabled on your browser, you will need to allow pop-ups from this site in order to really enjoy two major features here.
-
The Comm Panel (short for Communications Panel)
The Comm Panel is a pop-up window that is helpful to use for communication and navigation at Ancient Worlds. The Comm Panel shows who is online and provides a quick link to the home pages of the people you see listed. It is divided into categories for easy reference. Any Demi-gods or Scribes on site will be listed at the top. Should you need help or have questions, feel free to gram any Scribe. Scribes are here specifically to help answer your questions. You will have unlimited grams with any of them no matter the level of your membership.
-
Grams (short for telegrams)
Grams are the instant message system at AW. When you look at the Comm Panel you will see the word [gram] beside most names listed on the panel. If you would like to send someone a message, simply click on the [gram] next to their name and a message window will open. Type your message in the box and press send. Daylings and Novices have limited grams with the general populace, but everyone has unlimited grams with any Scribe.
-
General info:
Daylings are promoted to Novice level in 24 hours. Novices can make two posts and send 5 grams per 24 hrs (not counting grams to Scribes). They can add 3 people to their friends' list. Novices must log in consecutively to increase the cash box before advancing to Citizen level. This takes about two weeks as long as you don't spend any of your stcs by joining a group or buying property. Upon becoming a Citizen, you can add up to 6 friends to your friends' list, make 4 posts a day and your gram allowance increases to 10 per 24 hrs.
-
Joining Groups:
Be sure to review the group's description to make sure the premise of the group is one that you are comfortable with. Also, check the group's daily index of postings to see if there is current activity in the group (posts made within the past six months or so). It costs 250 stcs to join a group and we don't want you wasting your money if the group has been inactive for a while. If you have any questions about groups, feel free to contact the leader of the group or a scribe.
-
Subscribing:
If you really want to fully enjoy the site, I highly recommend becoming a full-fledge subscriber. There are three different levels of subscription. For the cost of one mocha latte frappuccino you can become a maximum Patron of Ancient Worlds. That's $4.95 a month!
