"Here you are," said Gallus to his scribe as he handed him a wax tablet. "Clean this up for my signature, then ensure they are delivered to each of our Tribunes."
==============================================================================
Greetings from Tiberius Gallus.
My fellow Tribune, you are invited to a gathering of our College at my domus the night after next. We will dine, share some decent wine, and speak some more on our legislative agenda for the remainder of our year in office.
Quintus Flaminius Vitulus and I have a proposal which might be of interest to you, particularly those of you who love the games.
The meeting will be a brief one, and I assure you we will be done early enough that none of you will be hung over for the next day's chariot races!
Your fellow Tribune in the service of Rome,
--Tiberius Gallus--
