Welcome
The Republic Reborn
The Gracchi, Champions of the Plebs, lie dead. Marius, Sulla, the great names of known history shall never come to prominence here. Will you take their role in history?

"Well I'll be buggered six ways to Sextillus!" Pullio Casca exclaimed as the severed head of Tremendus rolled a short distance away from its former body.

Shaking his head, he slipped half a denarius into the extended palm of Tiberius Gallus, who thanked him for paying off his wager so promptly.

As the two departed the Forum, Gallus was deep in thought. My, but the people do love their games. And, I must admit, so do I. If only I had more money to participate in a spectacle like this, but as a mere Tribune, well...

Gallus halted in mid-stride, causing Casca to bump into him. "Now what's yer problem!?" grumbled the Centurion. "Fergit' to collect on anuther bet, did you?"

Gallus responded with the phrase "The Ludi Tribunarii."

    "The Ludi Who-dee?"

"A game put on by the Tribunes, Casca! No, not just a game, but a whole series of games, maybe a week's worth! I may not be able to put on a whole spectacle myself, but I could contribute one event to a week's worth of games, plays, recitals...if the other members of my College did the same. It would be our gift--and a jolly good gift!--to the People of Rome!"

Turning to Casca, eyes bright with the possibilities, Gallus slapped his companion on the shoulder. "This could have definite possibilities. I must tell Vitulus about this. As President of the College, it really needs his nod before it gets proposed to the Plebean Assembly since it involves the College acting...collegially!"

Casca recognized the signs only too well. Gallus was off on another one of his wild goose chases. Bloody funny thing, though thought Casca to himself more often than not, that bugger caught his goose, so he did!

Shaking his head, the centurion followed after his tribune, who had picked up his pace considerably.
