Well then, we need you!
We are working on a series of articles that we would like to feature on the traditions and customs of the Germanic people.
What we need is a basic write up on what the customs were for Midsummer/Summer Solstice in the different cultures of the Germanic poeple.
We also thought that we would divide this into cultures and not lands. For example:
We write about the franks, the goths (visigoth,
ostrogoth, etc), the vikings, the
english-vikings(danes), etc.
This way the franks can be displayed anywhere in the
kingdom of the Franks and we can settle on that later, and so on.
I believe that this way is much simpler than writing
about how the Midsummer is celebrated in say Paris.
A general idea for the Franks is what we are looking
for, unless of course we run into a mayor exception,
then of course this should be mentioned.
Basicaly we need a, preferably long, list of articles that
feature different cultures of Germania and they
customs for Midsummer/Summer Solstice.
If you cant write the articles research would do just
fine, I just need a few hands that help me either
write the stuff or gather it so I can put it together.
What part you wish to do would be up to you.
Does this sound like something you would like to help us with?
Then by all means either post here or drop a scroll at my place and I'll gladly help you get started and give you any more deatils that you may need.
Thank you for any help offered,
A.
