Greetings, Dr Fagan, and many thanks for answering our questions.
Concerning the Ides of March : what do you think of Garofano and Bursztajn's
theory that Caesar used the "liberators" to commit a kind of assisted suicide ?
Is this a man who is walking blindly to his death? Is this a man who is acting
on an unconscious death wish? No, I think the evidence points to a man who is very conscious
and very aware that he is going to be killed. said Dr. Bursztajn. Is it gratuitous speculation
(pseudoarcheology... We, egyptologists, have our "pyramidiots", too) or is there something to think about ?
I'm not very interested in TV shows trying to solve centuries of historical questions in 52 minutes of unchecked
information, but I've always been intrigued by Caesar' behaviour during the last days of his life.
I can hardly believe that he didn't know anything. Why then did he dismiss his body guards ?
And what about the so-called temporal epilepsy ?
