enters the restaurant arm in arm with her less than tolerable brother. It still makes me queasy when I think they were husband and wife prior to coming to Asgard.
"I think I will be going now." Tyr utters with a smile as he stands up and makes his exit. "Call me when you want to go to the gym." He says and I nod in aggreement as I reach for my cup.
I take a deep draught of mead and the thought soon is purged from my head. I watch intently as she deposits her brother at the bar and makes her way to our table. I stand and pull her chair out and she sits ever so nobly as I tuck her into the table.
The tension at the table can be cut with a knife. Freyja throws an evil, extremely seductive smile at me as she reaches for the morning paper and opens it non chalantly as if nothing happened between us last. night.
"Hungry?" I ask her.
"Famished. It was an active night." she replies.
Humility with an ever lingering jealous undertone hits me with a wave as she turns the page of her newspaper.
"Don't you have something to say to me?" She asks.
"Oh gods, I hate this part." I think to myself.
"It was a.....poor choice......to take Brisengamen at this time." I mutter. I quickly pick up my cup and drink another of the honey sweet draught.
"Yes it was." is all she says as she bounces her crossed leg in her chair and turns the page of her paper.
"Letting Loki steal it probably wasn't a good idea either." I continue.
"You are right about that as well." she says. She sits the paper down and looks at me with those piercingly beautiful eyes.
"You ever pull a stunt like that again and so help me........" she starts to say before I lean forward and put my finger to her lips.
"Do you forgive me?" I ask, attempting to use my best puppy dog eyes.
