On this day an elder statesman with in the role playing community has passed away. One of the creators of dungeons and dragons Gary Gygax. I state this with hat in hand even thoe I haven't played that game since the early 1990's I currently play MMO's, RPG's and role play in general i feel a debt of gratitude for creating a genre I have enjoyed and benefited from most of my life. i started playing the game when I was 13 years old in 1980 since then it has inspired me to read more often, join the SCA, become interested in Living history and history in general. Gary I thank you for enriching my life.
