We'd hoped Dr. Hansen could add a day to his Symposion (yesterday, Sunday), but I got this email at home:
Hi Heraklia,
I logged on to the messages but the system would not let me respond. Please convey my appreciation to everyone who had an interest, and I apologize for not being able to respond to all the questions.
We need everyone's support (even $10 here and there makes a difference), and we will keep up the battle.
Again, thank you for this fascinating and most interesting opportunity. I enjoyed it (although it is a time cruncher), and look forward to maybe doing it again sometime.
best to you
Richard Hansen
If I'm reading this right, we had an interrupted Symposion due to the trip to Guatamala, but I think everyone I've talked to agrees - Dr. Hansen gave us more in 3 1/2 days than most guests do in a full week, so we're very grateful. Surely my vision of the Maya will never be the same!
Special thanks to the scribes for Americas, FireStorm, Topi, and Aynara, who knocked themselves out (at speed) to welcome Dr. Hansen and make his time here - as he says! - "fascinating and most interesting". That's us, guys! And thanks to all who submitted questions and made it a great Symposion.
