Does everyone know what padding is and how it works?

In this instance it may work and it may not. What that bit of coding was doing was putting a bigger space/margin inbetween the edge of the page and the type. Depending on what else is on the page and how big the screen is, the display could distort very easily on smaller screens.

Try dragging your browser window smaller than your screen size and see what I mean. The text will wrap around and if the padding is very large, the boxes on the screen may become really skinny with possibly only one or two words on each line.

Screens are getting bigger and smaller at the same time. On the one hand, you see some LCD's are going upwards of 22" and more and we are getting smaller laptops with the Sony Vaio a small 10" going down to the micro laptops with 1" screen. That's smaller than my phone! LOL

Just think about one or two things. Most users have around 15" and just because it looks ace on your screen doesn't mean they will see what you see. If you are serious about designing, have a couple of different browsers on your HD. Check out your page in both browsers. I know I'm digressing but I think most get what I'm trying to say. I'll get back into my box now. :D LOL
