Dear friends, it's on a day like this that I would like to share with you the following thought:
"Happy Holidays" isn't just for any one religion but for all religions: Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and so many more.
It's not just for Christmas, but for Channukah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Ramadan and so many other days held holy by the many religions of the world in which we live.
Have you ever stopped to think of the origin of the word holiday?
In case you hadn't... as my sister and my folks so often say to me when I ask about a word and its meaning..."break the word down to its parts and think about what they mean."
Holidays are in fact "holy days" and meant to be used as times of looking inside of yourself and around your world to think about and count your blessings.
I just want to add that I have felt very blessed to have made friends, both young and older, with so many people here at AW. Thank you for your time and friendship.
