Welcome to this Egyptian villa, a peaceful place where all the comforts of a noble Egyptian home can be had. Meet my family, play a game of Senet and share our dinner!
Please take a seat under the sunshade at my roof terrace and relax in the cool breeze while you enjoy the view over the water. Out there you see the pylons of the Temple of Isis on its island of Philae.
Going out in the village, you will at once notice a big and busy market place, close by the quai. This is the southernmost trade station in Kemet where many goods from the Two Lands are transported to far away lands and traded for spices, sandalwood, gold, ebony and wild and wonderful animals, often accompanied by strange-looking men in unusual garb.
Within short you will be able to, apart from inspecting the abundance of goods in the marketplace, learn about ancient Egyptian women and their life!
