Iwyt Hnt-s (The Garden House)
Just southwest of the temple of Seti I at Abedjou lies a lovely garden where vines and trees and flowers grow, and where little canals provide water. At the far end of this garden, there is a small house, in which a a priestess lives quietly at certain periods of the year. At these times, her temple duties is to take care of the flowers and bind garlands which she gives as offerings for the deities or tell the story of the Passion Plays of Wesir .

Come to your house, come to your house!
You of On, come to your house!
Your foes are not!
O good musician, come to your house!
Behold me, I am your beloved sister,
You shall not part from me!
O good youth, come to your house!
Long, long, have I not seen you!
My heart mourns you, my eyes seek you!
I search for you to see you!
Shall I not see you, shall I not see you,
Good King, shall I not see you?
It is good to see you, good to see you,
You of On, it is good to see you!
Come to your beloved, come to your beloved!
Wennofer, justifed, come to your sister!
Come to your wife, come to your wife,
Weary-hearted, come to your house-mistress!

This Temple Garden is in its early stages of development. Much is to be displayed, much is to be told.
Meanwhile, to learn about the Egyptian deities, please visit:
Where all the deities of Kemet are represented. The ones represented at the Temple of Seti I each have their own space here at Abedjou in the form of articles.
Or you can try this puzzle. You may see a bit more of the Temple Garden if you do!
