I came out of my shack this morning and tripped over a sack of camel hair jackets with a tablet telling me to brush and de-flea them.

SLAVES
Slaves were controlled by higher ranked authority, like kings, priests, elders, and normal Mesopotamian people.(as it should be)
They did not have any of their own rights.(why should they)
They did not make money for all of their work, but they did get a small shelter to live in while not working.(they are lucky they got that!)
They had to live with many other people in their shelter who worked for the same owner.(do I hear snoring coming from the other room??)

Am I the KINGS slave now??
I know he has thousands of slaves!
And hundreds of "servants" aka slaves...
This will ruin my manicure!
