Per Ankh - The Library at the Temple of Isis,
No one but the goddess may have his permanent home on the island itself so my per-dt is placed in the village on the eastern shore of the main land, called the Whyt of Philae.
But I sometimes spend a night on the temple roof or in the Temple Library, situated in a small room on the east side in the Second Courtyard.
The Second Court, showing the three rooms in the eastern colonnade, of which one was a temple library. Photo: author. If you enter through the First Pylons of the Temple of Isis, you will come to the Second Courtyard. It is all closed in on all four sides: the mammissi to the left; to the west, the portal and the pylons at your back, straight ahead you have the entrance into the Hypostyle Hall, and to your right; to the east, is a colonnade with three small rooms in them. One of these, the northernmost, functioned as the place where scrolls and holy writings were kept. This is the place where you will be able to chose from a list of all the books about Ancient Egypt that I can think of. There will also be a list of good, quality websites to where reliable information can be had.
