The view of the bay is absolutely breathtaking: the water is sparkling indigo, like the vats of cloth at the dyer's. Do come in, and we'll walk through the peristyle and recline on the best couch in my triclinium. There you will feast on sow's udders stuffed with sea urchins, dormice rolled in honey and poppyseeds, and tiny figpeckers. We'll wash it all down with the best Falernian from my estates.
