The Tugurium at Beauvais.
My tugurium is not far from the river Oise, wooded hills surround this picturesque area.
eastern Gaul, alas conquered by Julius Caesar in 57BC. The Romans established a Colonia called Caesaromagus, it is now called Beauvais. The territory of the Bellovaci extended from Beauvais to the Oise River and along the Belgic coast-line. Bellovaci, means 'shouters', it's a tranquil place, where everyone seems to speak loud. Caeser campaign against the Bellovaci, occurred in the beautiful Compiegne Forest, an area occupied by the neighbouring Suessiones, the Bellovaci employed guerrilla tactics, under the commandership of Celtic chieftain Correus, but were over-whelmed by Caesar's army of 30,000 legionaries.
