The Tugurium at Triers.

Welcome to our tagurium at Triers, the copper cauldron is filled with beef and vegatable stew, the bread is baking in the clay oven and the red wine is decorked upon the table.

Marcomir is very happy to be back amongst friends and the tribe of his birth, the Treveri, he was born a few miles from Hunsruck, in the month of Simivisionios, the time of brightness. He spent most of his childhood in the valley of the Moselle River, he left the picturesque village at the age of 13 summers and sailed over the North Sea to the flatness of the Trinovantes canton.
In the days of Julius Caesar, the Treveri territory extended as far as the Rhine. They were bordered on the north by (the Tungri), on the west by (the Remi) and on the south by (the Mediomatrici), all Belgic tribes friendly to Rome. Later the Germanic Vangiones and the Nemetes, would settle to the east of the Treveri, along the banks of the Rhine.
The Romans built the Colonia Treverorum,(Trier,Germany),
The Romans had subdued the Treveri in 30BC, Treverorum
later became the capital of the Roman Province of Gallia Belgia.
