Trigarium
Located beyond Tarentum along the Tiber, east of the Pons Aemilius.
Park open daily from the first hour of the day until the second hour of the night.
![]() The Trigarium is an open field overlooking the bend of the Tiber at the northwest corner of the Campus Martius. Charioteers and horsemen have trained and exercised here since the early days of Rome, giving the field its name derived from the trigae teams often seen practicing here. This field is open to all Roman racing factions and equestrians except on occasions when the field is marked off for military drills or as a staging area for triumphal processions.
![]() Citizens may walk the marked paths along the Tiber or catch a glimpse of their favorite charioteer from bleachers erected beside the training field.
