Mukden (actual Shenyang) was the Manchu capital from 1625 until 1644
Location: located between 122 25' - 123 48' east latitude and 41 11' - 43 2' north latitude, in the southern part of northeast china, and the inland area of Liaodong peninsula, north of the Bohai Sea and southwest of the Changbai Mountains, is the center of Liaoning province
Physical Features: situated between the Changbai Mountain and Pohai; on the alluvial plains of the Liaohe and Hunhe Rivers; mostly covered by plain, small hills in the southeast
Climatic Features: located in the North Temperate Zone with continental climate; 4 distinct seasons.
History: the Manchu capital from 1625 until 1644. Now is the capital city of Liaoning province; famous for its second largest imperial complex - Shenyang Imperial Palace.
