A land-locked country deep in the Himalayas, Bhutan is traditionally called ‘Druk Yul’. Much of its early history is lost due to a massive fire that burned many of its historic records, but archeological finds suggest the mountain valleys here have been inhabited for several thousand years. The Bhutanese are most closely related to the people of Tibet.
