The area in the southeast corner of Pompeii, bordered by the Decumanus Inferior to the north and Cardo Maximus to the west.

Here you will find the Nuceria Gate and the Necopolis, the row houses in Via di Nocera, the Palaestra and ampitheater as well as some of the local brothels, called "houses of negotiable affections" by some.
