Chichén Itzá is not only one of the best preserved archaeological sites on the Yucatán Peninsula, it is also the home of (probably) the most familiar pyramid on the American continent: the Kulkulkan pyramid or El Castillo. This incredible calendric pyramid keeps surprising people up to this day with the shadow spectacle that takes place every 21 of march and 21 of september.

Chichén is also the place with the largest ballcourt of Mesoamerica, where the walls are decorated with images of warriors.
