Well what can I say? It was one heck of a great faire and thats saying a lot! So many great knights, ladies and well wishers turned out for the jousting and contests and everyone had a lot of fun. Zee-Queen Desdemona put on a wonderful spread working her butt off keeping the whole thing in motion. LOL! Even a few hiccups didn't phase anyone much. And she was great fun to throw cream pies at!! hehehehhh!! We really globbed her good and well!
The tournament judges and secret helpers including the black knight *did I hear a little boo from the back?*, were great and I wish to thank each and everyone of you. Although Im not so well disposed to the black knight. Well maybe a little bit seeing as he spared my life. A teeny weeny bit that is! But hey... as they say, live again to fight another day. So Black knight, be warned in advance that I will be back to challenge you again next year! And this time I will have learnt a few tricks from my dear husband who knows the art of slitting throats. Gulp!!
And the Caliph is of course my number one fan and he was thrilled to see me win the jousting and attend the castle ball with me. Perhaps a little strange or quirky sometimes, he does has a gentlemanly heart. I rode to my battles with his tokens of love and his loud cheers from the stands. That gave me flutters of power surging energy which I think helped enable me to defeat my competitors.
 
Ahhh, but then I returned later to meet the black knight *boo*.. in the ultimate joust for knight of the realm. It was a close one there and I almost had him begging for mercy. Anyway he might be bragging to his cream pied Queeny now that he defeated me but next year I will be the braggeeee!
But all in all I think it was a very enjoyable faire and for Sir Elenwe it was definitely a rip roaring success...But...let us just forget the Hand to Hand Combat thingy eh! Dont really want to go there..On that note I will just say that I was still half asleep when called up for my fight so it wasnt my fault I lost in the first round. *smiles weakly*...At least I still have my reputation as the best knight and jouster in Germania...*kicks black knight out of the way and pokes out tounge*...

HBO Rome Play & Decennalia Ball

The HBO Rome play today, starring & directed by our fabulous Titus Pullo, was so funny that I even laughed myself to death twice...Yep I had the honour of playing Niobe and Evander and got to do my first two AW acting death scenes. Kinda creepy when you see what was registered on my homesite today for visitors to my castle...666. Spooky!!
The ball was a real hoot too with the conga getting off to a great kick start. People came in their old avatars, wiggled their way around the dancefloor, drank copious amounts of Topi's Aqua Fennica and all had a good time. Ahh! So much fun! Now its time to be off and relax with my favourite knight Turgon (my old avatar)...

Pssst... over here, under the arch... I have some information I know you'll find valuable...so whispered good ole Herky in our ears. Well I thought she was pulling our legs at first! Then I got to thinking, well maybe this demi hiding in the shadows might be onto something and might want to help us contestants out! Well the information turned out to be very valuable indeed. After getting off to "Im up the creek, dont know where to start", I was floating around AW in limbo for a while. I did manage to find some pieces of the puzzle and answer questions correctly with the encouragement of Bryce and Topi who were magnificent contest overseers. And here is the reward of my whizzing around the world efforts. My very own cup to treasure! It was thirsty work for sure and at 2.30 am in the morning it was a real buzz!!!

Decennalia & The Symposium with Jot

Well what interesting times to be at AW and to be a part of it all. 10 years...hmmm, seems like this place has been existing here forever. Ive really enjoyed the Symposium with Jot and keeping up with all the posts. The ideas & suggestions for sitewide improvement from members and the magnitude of setting this place up has blown me away. Im really amazed at how dedicated and creative you all are. And the stories are great! I hope all our AW dreams come true... And to you Jot, you have my thanks for everything you've done. Without you and the dedicated oldies from AS, I wouldnt have this wonderful place to come to and for that I am very happy & grateful...
I made this plaque in honour of our groovy Cybergod Jot! Its pure crystal. If you would like it for your home please feel free to save a copy.
Decennalia has been a great eye opener and a success. Ive learnt so much about the history of this site in the last week than what Ive learnt in the last 2 and a half years Ive been coming here. So congratulations each and everyone of you who have made this place the best site on the web today! Happy Decennalia everyone and see you all in another thousand years!!!

I had soooo much fun in the Tinku Tournament too (fighting on my llama) even though I got knocked out in the first round. Nothing like good ole llama spit to heal the wounds eh! But I did manage to make up for my defeat by giving SGR a sensuous soothing massage... ooooohhh...
