But of course "We," i.e. "the world" still love and respect each other, right?

The Japanese word for foreigner means "stinking of foreign hair"

To a Czech a Hun is "a pimple."

Germans call cockroaches "Frenchmen." The French call lice "Spaniards."

We English "take French leave". Italians and Norweigians talk about "departing like an Englishman," and Germans talk about "running like a Dutchman".

Italians call syphilis "the French disease," whilst French and Italians call a con game "American Swindle." Belgian taxi drivers call poor tippers "un Anglais".

To be bored to death in French is "entre de Birmingham." (i.e is to be from Birmingham... no not the one in Alabama....silly)

And in English we have "Dutch Courage" French Letters" "Spanish Fly" and "Mexican Carwashes" (i.e. leaving your car in the rain)

Sooooooooo I"ll just go ahead and "take my French leave" before you become "entre de Birmingham" and throw me in that "Mexican Carwash".

Hey!!! wait!!! am I really "running like a Dutchman"?
