The Feast of Kores

Rejoice! Today is the Feast of Kores who after a six-year exile in the underworld was declared a goddess of fertility and grains.
My cooks have prepared a feast for all to visit. Please join me in my courtyard, recline and partake. The musicians are ready with harp and lyre, flute and tambor to entertain you.
Rejoice for the gift of the Nile and its abundance that replenishes the land of Khem for all eternity! |

Sacrificing to the River of Khem....

The morning commenced with a sacrifice to the river goddess to give thanks for the many gifts the river brings.
The priests chanting droned on and on, but for the most part it was a pleasant ceremony.
I distributed bread and sweetmeats to the poor on my way back home. Now my slaves will serve some new wine... |

Advent of Isis

Welcome friends,
We are in a flurry of excitement as we are preparing our modest home for the Festival of the Advent of Isis.
Please partake of freshly brewed beer in our courtyard and some millet cakes my slaves have prepared to celebrate this auspicious beginning of the new year.

I don't know how I got here, but I think I will like it. Once I learn all the wise ways of the ancient Egyptians, I hope to provide some information I have gained over the years.
Ancient Egyptian life, culture and art are a pleasant hobby of mine for many years.
