No rest for the wicked.

Two papers due soon, a midterm comnig up, lots of reading to do...oi. Only a month into the semester and already it's threatening to overwhelm me.
I swear, there simply aren't enough hours in the day for me to do both what I *need* to do and what I *want* to do.
In other news, I should really fiddle about with my homesite more, yeah? I've decided I want to make Miyabi a kitsune, but it's very hard to find suitable pictures that aren't somebody's furry art or something from Naruto or Yu Yu Hakusho. There are several problems here:
1.) I don't like using other people's art. Manga scans, okay. Anime screencaps, fine. Not someone else's fanart. It's just not right.
2.) I hate Naruto.
3.) I hate Yu Yu Hakusho.
4.) Besides having the utmost loathing for the aforementioned, the kitsune characters involved in both are male. This does me no good as Miyabi is female. |

Pardon the fangirling, but...

Kadaj from FF7 Advent Children is quite the hottie for a computer generated man. What can I say? I like 'em pretty and feminine.
I'm having an awfully hard time resisting the urge to download this from BitTorrent. |

So I've been reading up a bit on samurai-ko. I can't find too much on these women, and most of what you *do* find on the 'net is either someone's fanfic or role-playing profile, but what I did find is interesting. Most of it is on Tomoe Gozen, the "nun shogun" Hojo Masako, and Nakano Takeko.
On another note, mmmm goma anpan. I love anything with red bean paste in it. It's way too sweet to eat much of it at a sitting though. |

Warning: a bit of fangirlism ahead.

Hi, I'm Miyabi. I ramble about things nobody but me cares about here. Might be music, might be about how being a history major's contributing to my slow descent into madness, or it might be something else entirely. The fun just never stops.
For instance, D. Gray-man is becoming absolutely addictive. It's the first manga that I've read in a long time that's held me for more than two volumes. Let's just hope it doesn't fall flat the way Hellsing did after volume five. Let's also hope there's more Kanda in the future.
I also watched "Oresama" again yesterday. It's not the best movie ever by a long shot, and Miyavi's Japanese can be horribly difficult to decipher, but he's just so *adorable*. Therefore, I forgive him. |
