A Year in the Merde

Ok, I finally bought "A Year in the Merde". There was so much talk about this book that I really wanted to see the british vision of the actual France, especially because I live here...and I'm definitely not french (believe me people here don't let me forget it!). Yep, for start, the year really starts in september and not in january. Go figure why...but no, french do not smell garlic. Poor darlings, it's like saying that all the british eat liver pudding every day or...deep fried Mars (no kidding here!).
Deep-fried Mars myth is dispelled
Geez, and I thought that we had odd food in Portugal!*yack*
Anyway, returning to the book...Until know, even if I had the feeling that the british reporter is exagerating some clichés, like we all do about any nationality, some things are true...and worst, french know it but they will NEVER confess, even under torture.
To be continued... |
