Open Season on Faeries Posted at 18:00 EST
Dateline Germania: Ancient Worlds Department of Fish and Game central office issued a press release today that many have felt has been a long time in coming and maybe too little of a solution too late to an escalating crisis.
Effective immediately the hunting and fishing possession limits of the common garden variety faery have been eliminated, making it open season on the winged pests.
"After substantial research and investigation" the memo states, "it is the conclusion of this office that the common faery found in such prolific amounts at Ancient Worlds has reached a critical point in it's population and has drastically began affecting the local ecosystem. It is therefore the determination of the Department of Fish and Game that every effort should be made to eradicate what has become an obnoxious pest throughout the boards and threads of our fine community.
When asked his opinion on the press release, the
office of Ancient Worlds' anti faery activist Odin Knudsson issued this statement
"The allfather salutes the courage and determination of the Ancient Worlds Department of Fish and Game in their efforts to eliminate this pest and restore the delicate balance of the Ancient Worlds Ecosystem. Our office will work diligently to comply with the proclamation made by the Fish and Game. Good luck and Happy Hunting!"
Mr. Knudsson's office also reported that the All father had scheduled a faery hunting safari to Celtia later this week and was publishing the location of his favorite faery fishing hole.

For my beloved Celtia Posted at 00:00 EST
Tiptoe with the faeries
By the mushrooms, that is where I'll always be!
Come tiptoe through the psychic garden, with me

Oh, tiptoe from the mushrooms
to the faeries dancing underneath the willow trees
And tiptoe through the pyschic garden, with me

Knee deep in sugarwood we'll stray
We'll keep the rainbows here all day
And if I kiss you in the pyschic garden, in the moonlight
Will you proposition me?
And tiptoe through the pyshcic garden with me!

Don't like my lyrics, POUND SAND!!!!! It's my journal read something else.

Where is a can of spraypaint when you need one? Posted at 18:30 EST
So, I log in to Ancient Worlds today to see I have three messages. Oh Kewl! I think to myself.Someone either is complaining about my recent journal entries, or maybe just maybe, I have a secret admirer that actually reads my posts for pleasure rather than tattling to the administration.

Much to my disappointment it was neither. I open the scroll to find a very large picture of a faery so lovingly sent to me by Seshat Taharqa. *Sigh* I should have never introduce her to DAZ Studio. I have created a monster.

My spirits saddly were crush and after a few seconds of uttered colorful metaphors about little folk, that, if I were a certain bounty hunter I might be embarassed about saying in front of people, now my focus turns to retalitation. How dare she violate the sacred sanctum of the celestial halla with that malicious graffitti? I must get even with her some how, some way but how?

It was then that I was struck by Epiphany. My grandmother always said, "When life deals you a lemon, make lemon aid."

So, Seshat, if you are reading this, take comfort in the fact that your faery was in fact useful as I sit down to an afternoon blog with a big bowl of Kentucky fried faery wings.

Crunch Crunch hey, they go pretty good with ranch dressing.

Love ya Seshat and for the record my revenge is coming.

A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced because they love their servitude.

Here we go again! (Remembering former glories) Posted at 12:00 EST
With the coming of November and the much prayed for end of Samhain(Do the celts around here know that Samhain really was only one day?) we see the parading of the new sacrificial victims of the demigods. The Scribal change is here!

The air is filled with excitement as everyone pretends they don't know who the new sacrificial scapegoats are but in reality the names were leaked out months ago.

Poor things! They have no idea what lies before them. Well most of them don't. The new bloods are eager to please and have great plans for their respective cities. "Those of us who are about to die SALUTE you Ceasar!"

The first month is wonderful with everyone eagerly working hard at improving their stewardships. The honeymoon. All is great and life couldn't be better. Then it hits. "Oh no, my first festival, Everything must be perfect." That is when the madness sets in.

So with lightning speed and the creative genius of an eternity of ancient resources to consult, the scribes manage to throw together a festival to be remember. The demi's are pleased. Life is good for the moment.

With nothing to do, attention is turned to the hoods.
"Well how about we change this?" a new scribe asks.
"All we need is for administration to do this." another says.
"Oh lord, here it goes again." an experienced scribe says as the Emeritus scribes go ducking for cover and concealment. Soon, the new scribes are alone in the Curia as the demi's begin their feast.

When the blood bath ends, there is a rush of resignations, hurt feelings and lo and behold, there has been no new changes in the hoods. The survivors cower in the nooks and crannies of Ancient Worlds or leave the site forever.

And the demi's look forward to their new sacrifices..........
