Saw one on a beat up old Honda the other day:

Sounded like a Chinese dish. I didn't know whether to laugh, or sternly condemn the driver for contributing to road rage.

I was shocked to see a woman brushing her daughter's hair in a restaurant! What is the deal here? Does she think that other people want to eat while her daughter's hair is flying around? Disgusting!

Once I was in an outdoor cafe and an old man in the table near me was clipping his fingernails. I moved away. I didn't want a pared nail flying into my coffee.

If I owned the restaurant I would have kicked those two miscreants out.

This journal is starting to sound like a very crabby Miss Manners.

Here's another one:

"War is Costly; Peace is Priceless."

DUH! Who says war isn't costly? And I mean lives too... What this person seems to be saying is that peace must be bought at any price. But at what price?

Anyone who thinks that peace must be obtained at any cost has not learned from history. Appeasement does not work. Backing down from bullies will only exacerbate the problem.

Anyway, I don't understand the peace activist. They seem to imply that they are the only ones who want peace. No sane person wants war! But sometimes it is brought upon us whether we like it or not, and one must have courage to face adversaries rather than shrink from them.

I'm going to rant about stupid bumperstickers I see.

"Art Saves Lives"

WTF? Art who? What do they mean by that? Doesn't that sound rather pretentious? Especially when that bumpersticker prevails in a small town where every other person believes that he or she is an artist. NOT!
