The Finnish poet and writer, Jarkko Laine is dead. He was the soul of teens growing up in the sixties and seventies, not only because of his witty poems and fun books, but also because of his rock lyrics, like "Bensaa suonissa" (Gas in Veins) and "Pilvet Karkaa, Niin minäkin" (Clouds escape, so do I). He also translated the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn into Finnish. And by coincidence I just grammed about those books with elena Curius, yesterday. The Journal title comes from the movie "Dead Poets' Society", with Robin Williams as the teacher, and whom I always saw to be similar to Jarkko, and not only because of looks. Sad day for Finland, and me as well, personally. He will be missed by many. |

I discovered that someone, (Frontinus?), has saved a lot of the old AS, at least the core of it if not the all the content... I found my old Domus, in fact two versions of it, as well as the Group Page of Aqua Fennica-Crapula Mundi, which comes as a good guideline now that I have returned to steer Aqua Fennica, on course or off, that'll be left to see... if we've learned nothing from AS history, it'll go off course again, but hopefully not this site... and now I'm off course again as I meant to write that it was so great seeing the old pages again, even if the original posts were not saved... tho I bet people saved a lot of stuff of their own to themselves, I know I did, tho in a zipdisk I've mislocated somewhere... will get back to old pages to roam the emptied streets, I guess a bit like walking in Pompeii...
so thanks, Xtreemli and Frontinus for a walk down memory lane! |

and not just because I would trip on my big feet, or mouth.
I am getting pretty sad and tired of getting overlooked and forgotten, especially by BigFrank and his court [out of order] of fans. I don't think that a clown should be overlooked simply because someone thinks a human can do a better job. I feel so sad about being overlooked (but not mad, no, not because of that, but in spite of it). Not taken to be funny anymore. (ok, I can see how that would happen, my jokes bomb a LOT) but still, I think in all fairness, one should really just look at what I have to offer, quantity, not quality. Humane or not... end of latinistic hmm's.

PS: Thanks for the apology, Sweet Vickster, you're back on top again, and Vort's back in the dumpster, where he belongs to! RHAAA-HWAAAA-HWAAAAAA! ;p
