Colours of the rainbow, fragrance sweet or sometimes spicy
A shady spot to while away some time
Birdsong, a pair of wrens looking
for a place to build a home
The call of a lovely green tree frog
looking for a mate
Juicy crops from homegrown veges
And freshly picked herbs, a culinary delight
But, maybe best of all
Cut flowers for your home



A bunch of freshly picked snapdragons with a couple of chrysanthemum's and some fern (sadly a little squashed against the scanner glass ... argh! when will the digital camera be returned!)

One of my great pleasures is to enjoy my gardens. I enjoy the whole process of creating a garden, getting something to grow, and eventually enjoying the benefits of this wonderful hobby.

It is so pleasant and peaceful to either stroll through them or to sit for a while and just enjoy the colours while I daydream or comtemplate or watch the birds who come by regularly.

I also love to fill my home with flowers cut from the garden bringing each room to life with their wonderful colours and fragrance.

Roses, freesia's and violets are among my favourites.
